GIBSON A-4 MANDOLIN – c.1922
A nice Loar era mandolin. Cherry sunburst top finish, oval soundhole bound with “rope” pattern and ivoroid, bound ebony fretboard, 24 frets, abalone fleur de lis peghead inlay, original adjustable ebony bridge, truss rod, original pickguard. Finish wear on back of neck, some other wear, small repaired crack at lower end of heel, tuners are correct style and period but likely not original to this instrument. Good sound and playability. Very good to excellent condition with the original hard shell case. $4200
