IBANEZ 2461 NATURAL ARCHTOP GUITAR – 1975
The Ibanez 2461 is part of the “Lawsuit Era”, a period when Japanese companies began producing close to if not exact replicas of American made guitars such as Fenders, Martins and Gibsons often rivaling or exceeding the quality of those manufactures at that time. This Ibanez is a fine example of such guitars. The 2461 is based off the Gibson Johnny Smith arch top, the “open book” headstock and split diamond inlay put this guitar at early to mid 1975 before lawsuits from Gibson forced Ibanez to change their headstock shape and inlay design. The 2461 would be produce for another two years before they were discontinued. This instrument is in very good condition and all original save the two piece ebony bridge (original bridge is included in the case) Includes original hard shell case. $3,000
