RICKENBACKER 4001 BASS – 1975
1975 Rickenbacker 4001 bass in very good condition. The white finish has aged to the classic cream color. It has several small chips in the paint on the back at the bottom, but no structural damage. It shows the normal wear of a nearly 50 year old instrument and there are several small nicks and dings but no finish checking. It has black binding on the top. The hardware appears to be all original and all electronics have been tested and are in very good condition, including the stereo Rick-O-Sound jack. There is the common tail lift on the bridge. Most players replace the bridge: since this one’s all original, we’re going to leave it that way. The frets appear to have been worked on and possibly replaced at some point, but are in excellent condition, with little to no visible wear. Set up with light gauge strings. Includes the original hardshell case, with blue interior, in excellent condition. $3400
