DEERING GOODTIME AMERICANA BANJO with SCOOP and PLANETARY TUNERS
The Deering Goodtime Americana Banjo is the first of the Goodtimes to have a 12-inch rim. The larger rim accentuates the bass response. It’s a popular option among old-time (clawhammer) players. We typically stock this model with a frailing scoop as well. The frailing scoop makes it easier for the right hand to play up over the end of the fretboard, which also helps accentuate a rounder tone. Built in California by Deering, builder of quality banjos since 1975.
